The Faculty holds the 15th place in the CENSIS Servizi s. p. a. 2009 (Italian university ranking).
In this ranking 22 universities were examined according to the quality of their didactics,
productivity, research and internationality.
The students have the possibility to choose between the 2+3 curriculum which emerged from
the Bologna-Process (3 years B.Sc. and 2 years M.Sc.) and the 5 year cycle (traditional Corso di
Laurea). The latter is rarely completed in 5 years.

Assessment II only examines the traditional 5 year cycles (Corso di Laurea).
The attendance for all courses is required. In order to graduate students must show at least 75%
of attendance.

The constructive design studios can either be new designs or may further explore a student’s existing
design project.
Historic building preservation design studios generally remain analytical, but also include a small
element of design work (building in existing structures).
The design studios have a duration of 3.5 months and are composed of 120 hours of lectures, design
studio work and optional courses from various subjects. The lectures and the design studios
are each worth 8 Credits, while the additional optional module is worth 4 Credits.
About 50 students are enrolled in one design studio.
The final design studio (5th year) is a one-year long design with 7 additional modules from different
subject areas; in total 28 Credits are awarded.
For the final project 12 Credits are awarded. The project may take one year or longer.
