The Department of Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology offers a three
year Bachelors programme in Dutch and a two year Masters programme in English.
An introductory year of study needs to be successfully completed in order to gain admission into
the Bachelor programme.
There are two Masters programmes offered:
- Architecture, Building and Planning
- Construction Management and Engineering
In Germany, the latter two are offered by the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Hence, this assessment
covers the ‘Architecture, Building and Planning’ (ABP) programme only.
BACHELOR
Students in their second year of the Bachelor programme can choose one of the following four
profiles:
Architecture – Engineering
Engineering – Management
Management – City planning
City Planning – Architecture.
The third Bachelor year offers a ‘Minor’ programme designed to consolidate previous studies or
widen the student’s knowledge base beyond the field of architecture.
MASTER
Faculty of Architecture | RWTH Aachen
The Masters programme‚ ’Architecture, Building and Planning’ (ABP 2012/2013) offers six
separate courses:
Architecture
Building Innovation and Construction Technology
Real Estate Management & Development
Structural Design
Urban Design & Planning
Building physics and Systems
Assessments II and III cover the course of ’Architecture’ only.
Within the Master programme, 105 out of a total of 120 ECTS are gained through compulsory
courses. The remaining 15 Credits can be attained through optional courses at any time over the
four semesters. For this assessment, 11 Credits were accredited to the first year and four were
accredited to the second year.
