Basic studies: semester 1-6, all compulsory
Main studies: semester 7-9, project supported by one complementary seminar and one theoretical
seminar of choice.

Projects are allocated through a lottery system. Students initially pick 3 projects they would prefer
working on providing a short text to explain their choices.
Each course offers room for approximately 15 students. Two courses share a room in which all
work together.
Each week the professor offers personal tutorials at certain times during which he is present in the
room. Students can sign up to those individually or in groups.
Since most students work together it is common for supervisors to come in spontaneously to
answer queries and to inspect the works. It is mostly the professors themselves that supervise the
groups while additional guest critics are invited for end of term presentations, often from abroad,
many of whom teach themselves at other universities.
Projects are worked on individually or, less commonly, in groups of two. Very rarely are projects
worked on in larger groups.
