New information and communications technologies (ICT) are seen as enablers of innovation,
productivity, efficiency and economic growth in all sectors of the Economy.
higher education uses so-called new technologies, the European Schools regard ICT as a basic skill to
be acquired by their pupils and to be used by their teaching and administrative staff.
