In a gloomy, volatile and sensitive market, further undermined by worrying macro-economic data from summer onwards, the SEB share was subject to profit-taking. Over the financial year, the share price therefore dropped by 26%, compared with -19% for the CAC 40, -18% for the SBF 120 and -22% for the CAC Mid 60. Throughout the entire year, average volumes exchanged were more sustained than the previous year. This share activity led to significant developments in the composition of the capital of SEB SA in 2011. This policy is aimed at reasonably increasing the dividend when its results allow and stabilising it when the economic and financial circumstances so require.
