Located the heart of the
U.S. “Wild West” in the high
desert of the Sierra Nevada
mountain range, Reno-Tahoe
offers visitors a magical setting
to experience the area’s
rich culture. In downtown
Reno the Truckee River flows
past the city’s resort district,
professional baseball stadium,
shopping and dining areas,
and museums. To the west
Lake Tahoe’s alpine blue
waters bask under the glow
of snow-capped peaks, while
to the east Virginia City, one
of Nevada’s first settlements
and one-time home to author
Mark Twain, takes history
buffs back in time with its
cowboy saloons and preserved
