was the starting point for<br />

the colonization of the “Wild<br />

West” because of its locatibecause<br />

Exposition and as the first<br />

English-speaking venue<br />

for the Olympic Games.<br />

Numerous houses and<br />

buildings in the city <strong>com</strong>memorate<br />

this era.<br />

IN ST. LOUIS – MUSIC HISTORY FIRST HAND<br />

Together with New Orleans<br />

and Memphis, St. Louis also<br />

gained a reputation in the<br />

world as “America’s Music<br />

Corridor”. Who doesn’t know<br />

the “St. Louis Blues” by Scott<br />

Joplin? No matter if it is<br />

blues, ragtime, jazz, classic<br />

or rap? St. Louis makes it<br />

possible to experience music<br />

history first hand. This<br />

history is being continued<br />

in 2010 with “The American<br />

International Choral Festival”.<br />

INTERKULTUR, well-known<br />

worldwide as the organizer<br />

of the World Choir Games,<br />

organizes this unique festival<br />

of choir music together<br />

with St. Louis and in cooperation<br />

with the American<br />

Choral Directors Association.
