Editing Data and Tables
• The Undo command works only with Replace. You cannot undo Replace All.
• If your data table contains value labels, using the Search commands will search for actual values,
but will not search for labels. (See “Using Value Labels,” p. 147.)

To find (or find and replace) values:
1 Select Edit > Search > Find. The window in Figure 3.36 appears.
2 Enter a value in the Find what box.
Note: To find missing character values, leave the Find field empty and check Match whole words
only. To find missing numeric values, insert a period into the Find field and check Match whole
words only.

3 Type a value in the Replace with field, if you would like to replace the values found with a different
value.
