Maintenance instructions<br />

Shut off hot and cold water supply!<br />

Please perform disassembly in specified order. Assemble<br />

in reverse order.<br />

Battery and electronic Cartridge:(Fig. left above):<br />

The battery must be replaced 10 years after initial operation<br />

of the fitting at the latest.<br />

Batteries which are almost discharged are indicated by a<br />

pulsating water jet.<br />

1. Loosen screw.<br />

2. Pull out cartridge with battery.<br />

3. Take out battery, check and clean contacts, if<br />

necessary replace battery.<br />

4. Actuate cartridge once by pressing the pushbutton<br />

cap.<br />

5. Insert new battery.<br />

6. The fitting is now in installation mode for 3 minutes; no<br />

water flows on actuation.<br />

7. Insert cartridge with battery in the fitting and fasten<br />

using a screw.<br />

8. Installation mode is terminated after 3 min. or by<br />

pressing the pushbutton cap twice (double-click) within<br />

2 s.<br />

Solenoid Valve (Fig. right above):<br />

1. Loosen screw and lever out cap.<br />

2. Unscrew and remove screws.<br />

3. Detach plug-in connector and pull out solenoid valve<br />

using a suitable tool. Important: Solenoid valve must<br />

not be tilted.<br />

4. Screw off base, detach diaphragm.<br />

5. Detach filter.<br />

Check, clean and if necessary replace solenoid valve, diaphragm<br />

and filter.<br />

Observe the correct installation position.<br />

Non-return valve:<br />

1. Disassemble fitting.<br />

2. Remove filters and seals.<br />

3. Remove union nipple using a 12mm allen key by<br />

turning clockwise (left-hand thread).<br />

4. Remove non-return valve.<br />

5. Screw off shower hose and remove non-return valve.<br />

Thermo element:<br />

1. Loosen screw and pull off cap.<br />

2. Unscrew and remove screw and pull off scale handle.<br />

3. Remove clip.<br />

4. Pull off stop ring.<br />

5. Pull off regulating nut with overload unit.<br />

6. Unscrew and remove thermoelement using a 22mm<br />

open-ended spanner.<br />

The overload unit must be screwed as far as possible into<br />

the regulating nut (left-hand thread).<br />

Observe the correct installation position of the stop ring.
