Maintenance instructions
Shut off hot and cold water supply!
Cleaning / surfaces
Do not use any cleaning or scouring agents
containing chlorine. Please make sure to inform
customers of this.
Water escaping at the anti-vacuum device
1. Flush pipe inserted too far into the bowl: Pull out or
shorten flush pipe (Fig. 1).
2. Resistance in the flush pipe caused by constriction or
kinking: Replace flush pipe (Fig. 2).
3. Constriction in the flush water distributor or the flush
nozzles of the WC bowl: Replace WC bowl (Fig. 3).
Pipes making noise
1. Rattling noises during flushing:
Valve cone in the upstream bushing valves loose:
- Tighten or replace valve top.
2. Bang at the end of the flush operation:
- Nozzle dilated: Replace piston (Fig. 4).
- Leather seal defective: Replace.
3. Non-return valve making noise Excessive pressure
drop: Replace defective valve (Fig. 5).
Planning instruction
Make sure the supply pipe (to the flushing valve) is adequately
dimensioned! For 3/4" (WC) flush: Supply pipe at
least 1".
Flow pressure too low (Figs. 6 and 7)
(pressure drop should be max. 1.5 bar)
1. Resistance in the pipe, for example water meter too
small, dirt filter clogged:
Eliminate resistance.
2. Isolating valve in the supply pipe not fully open: Open
valves.
3. Supply pipe inadequately dimensioned: Use cistern.
4. Pressure conditions inadequate (minimum pressure 1.2
bar acc. to DIN 3265):
Use low-pressure flush (above 0.5 bar flow pressure) if
pipe adequately dimensioned.
Flushing valve on the same line flushing without having
been actuated (Fig. 8)
5. Pipe inadequately dimensioned and at the same time
flow pressure too low:
- Increase flow pressure; see above. 1.-2.
- Use low-capacity fitting.
Do not lubricate the functional components of the
fitting!
