Deductions from capital
2.2.14 G Deductions should be made at the relevant stage of the calculation of capital
resources to reflect capital that may not be available to the firm or assets of
uncertain value (for example, holdings of intangible assets and assets that
are inadmissible for an insurer, or, in the case of a bank or building society,
where that firm has made investments in a subsidiary undertaking or in
another financial institution or in respect of participations that it holds).
2.2.15 G Deductions should also be made, in the case of certain BIPRU investment
firms for illiquid assets (see GENPRU 2.2.19R).
