"The term productivity in general means the total output per unit of factor input. For example land productivity means output per hectare of land. Productivity is an average and is calculated by dividing the total output of a particular crop by the total cultivated area under that crop." Data are made available by the Baseline survey (project area), Handbook of Agriculture, ICAR publication 2006(For Gujarat and India), and Final district plan (DAP) of Dept. of Agriculture (for Jamnagar). The results indicate that project area has very low productivity compared to world, India, Gujarat and Jamnagar.
