Widen Douglas Blvd. to 5 lanes in a series of 3<br />

phases:<br />

Phase I: Reduce from 2 lanes each direction to 1 lane<br />

each direction with turn lanes and frontage<br />

improvements south of ultimate centerline generally<br />

from Rancho Cordova Pkwy to Borderlands Dr.. The<br />

striping will be in an interim configuration.<br />

Phase II: The project consists of two lanes north of<br />

ultimate centerline and a median generally from<br />

Rancho Cordova Pkwy. to Borderlands Drive. In<br />

addition, a full five lane improvement would extend to<br />

Americanos Blvd. The final striping would be installed<br />

with this phase allowing three eastbound lanes and<br />

two westbound lanes. New signals would be installed<br />

at the intersections of Doulgas Rd. and Rancho<br />

Cordova Pkwy, Timberlands Dr. and an interim signal<br />

at Americanos Blvd.<br />

Phase III: The project proposes to widen Douglas Rd.<br />

to five-lanes from Americanos Blvd. to Grant Line Rd.<br />

and intersection improvements at Grantline Rd.<br />

Funding is for construction of 4 center lanes with<br />

median. Frontage lane constructed at developer<br />

cost. (CP07-2032, CP06-2024 and CP10-2083)<br />
