Eastend
In the valley of the
hidden secrets
Nestled on the banks of the scenic
Frenchman River, Eastend really is
in a valley of hidden secrets.
Attractions include the T.rex Centre
and Eastend Historical Museum &
Information Centre (displaying many of
the original fossil finds of the area and
an original log cabin). As well, Eastend
has amazing surroundings to explore.
Eastend offers a variety of
accommodations including cozy
B&B’s, cottages, hotel, motel and
riverside campgrounds as well as a full
range of services. Grocery stores,
restaurants, gas stations, cardlock,
ATM machines, an antique store and
liquor outlets are some of the
amenities available in Eastend.
For more information, check out our
website at: www.dinocountry.com
or www.cypresshills.ca
Spend a few days getting to know the
town and its people. Browse through
the art galleries and private studios or
take advantage of the scenic 9-hole
golf course. Go hiking on one of the
trails, which offer spectacular views,
and a rich natural history of the area.
Cool off at the indoor swimming pool,
open from June until September, or
spend an evening at the Wilkinson
Observatory viewing the stars.
Visitor Information Centre – open May to mid-October; 306-295-3375;
for tours phone 306-295-3670; 295-3775 or 306-295-3564
Wilkinson Observatory
Located 5 km south of Eastend
on Hwy #13
Open for business year round!
How often do you get the chance to
view the stars, without heavy city
lights to dampen the view, from an
observatory in the middle of nowhere?
The best viewing is after dark but there
are a few day time objects to view.
