Energy Tours<br />
With coal mining deeply rooted in<br />
Estevan’s past and present, the inner<br />
workings of the mining industry can be<br />
fascinating to watch. These guided tours<br />
help develop an in depth understanding<br />
of coal mining in and around the<br />
Estevan area, and are FREE of cost. The<br />
tours originate at the Visitor Information<br />
Centre and run from June to August,<br />
where visitors get driven to the sites.<br />
Visitors can choose between two<br />
available tours.<br />
The morning tour is scheduled for 9am<br />
and tours Rafferty Dam, The Boundary<br />
Dam Power Station and the Boundary<br />
Dam Mine site. The afternoon tour<br />
departs at 1pm and tours the Shand<br />
Power Station, Shand Greeenhouse and<br />
the Boundary Dam Mine site.<br />
