be operational in time for Ogema’s
2012 centennial celebrations.
In the Willow Bunch Museum, you’ll see
objects relating to the life of Édouard J.
Beaupré, the “Willow Bunch Giant”. At
the Assiniboia & District Historical
Museum, there are tools and schools of
yore, plus historic military and
automotive items. Art lovers will enjoy
the Shurniak Art Gallery in Assiniboia,
featuring a large collection of Canadian
and international art, housed in a
beautiful gallery with a tea room
offering fresh lunches.
Most appropriately, Ranch and Rodeo
memorabilia is showcased at the Wood
Mountain Ranch & Rodeo Museum. The
Claybank Brick Plant National Historic
Site forms a truly unusual museum,
highlighting the earliest years of
industrial development on the prairies.
