Usually the e1irection <strong>of</strong> the projection <strong>of</strong> force F onto the<br />

<strong>The</strong>fore FrO acting along the center line is directed from the<br />

center <strong>of</strong> the pivot to the center <strong>of</strong> the bearing, while the force<br />

F t acting perpendicularly to the center line is directed from the<br />

center <strong>of</strong> the pivot in the direction <strong>of</strong> rotor rotation, as indicated<br />

in Fig. 3.85.<br />
