ENERGY SERVICES<br />

The Energy Services Department is responsible for providing electric power to approximately 28,000 <strong>City</strong> residential and business<br />

meters. This is done through construction and maintenance <strong>of</strong> an extensive transmission and distribution systems. There are 20<br />

distribution substations and approximately 900 miles <strong>of</strong> transmission distribution lines. In addition to the T&D system, the Department<br />

owns and operates three generation facilities with a capacity <strong>of</strong> approximately 60 MW <strong>of</strong> generation capacity. The Department is also<br />

responsible for the operation and maintenance <strong>of</strong> the 138 kV system that is shared ownership with the Utah Associated Municipal<br />

Power Systems (UAMPS).<br />
