PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION<br />

The Public Works Administration Department is responsible for the general supervision, administrative support, long-range planning,<br />

and short-term project coordination <strong>of</strong> the <strong>St</strong>reets, Engineering, Airport, Drainage Control, and Transit divisions. The Public Works<br />

Department's goal is to enhance the quality <strong>of</strong> life in <strong>St</strong>. <strong>George</strong> through excellence in pr<strong>of</strong>essionalism, services, and effective<br />

management <strong>of</strong> the infrastructure for the public and city organization. The vision statement <strong>of</strong> Public Works is: "We will meet<br />

community needs by being helpful, competent and worthy <strong>of</strong> trust. We will foster cooperation and teamwork with every employee<br />

empowered to work as a member <strong>of</strong> the team to improve the way we provide our services."<br />
