2013/14 Recommended Budget - City of St. George

FINANCE
The Finance Department is responsible for a variety of financial functions including maintenance of the City's general ledger for the
many funds and account groups of the City. The Finance Director prepares monthly and annual financial reports for the Mayor and
City Council, and other City departments. This includes preparing the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for submission to the
Utah State Auditor's office within six months of the close of each fiscal year. The City Treasurer oversees the collection, deposit,
investment, and disbursement of all City funds. The Finance Department also includes Accounts Payable, Utility Billing and
Business License responsibilities. Over 30,000 utility billings are prepared, mailed, and collected each month by department
personnel.
