THE AGREEMENT ON<br />
COOPERATION WITH NATO<br />
Assembly of Tajikistan approved the agreement<br />
on cooperation with NATO about de-mining on<br />
the Afghanistan border.<br />
According to the agreement signed in Brussels on January<br />
31, 2012, NATO agreed on training Tajikistani professionals<br />
on de-mining. In addition to de-mining, a financial<br />
assistance agreement was made on providing financial support at<br />
a total of 575 thousand Euros. 202 thousand Euros of this financial<br />
assistance was to be given by Turkey, Northern Ireland, Japan<br />
and the United Kingdom; and the remaining amount was to be<br />

Society Conference was held in Rome<br />
between January 11 and <strong>13</strong>. At the conference<br />
held in Sapienza University of<br />
Rome, 516 scholars from 62 countries<br />
discussed 303 scientific papers for<br />
three days. Organized in collaboration<br />
with Istanbul Economic Research<br />
Association, the conference hosted<br />
world-known professors of economics<br />
and finance as well as the Central<br />
Bank of Turkey and Monetary Policy<br />
Committee member Dr. Ahmet Faruk<br />
Aysan, Member of Board of the Bank<br />
of Japan Dr. Sayuri Shirai and Riberio<br />
Pacceli Eugenio from Central Bank of<br />
Brazil.<br />

HELD<br />
18th Euromoney Central and Eastern<br />
European Forum was held in Vienna<br />
on January 15-16. The meeting gathered<br />
region’s leading exporters, domestic<br />
and foreign investors, heads of state<br />
and senior economists. During the<br />
forum, “Crisis and Intervention Techniques<br />
in Europe”, “Russia and the<br />
CIS out of the Crisis” and “Emerging<br />
Investment Environment in Europe”<br />
issues came to the fore.<br />
