G20 SUMMIT WAS HELD IN ST.<br />
PETERSBURG<br />
The latest situation in world economy<br />
and the crisis in Syria were discussed<br />
in the G20 Summit which was held<br />
in Konstantinovsky Palace located<br />
in St. Petersburg on September 5-6.<br />
Additionally, Putin stressed that the<br />
global economy has not maintained<br />
stable growth yet; thereby the risk of<br />
emergence of a global economic crisis is<br />
likely under these conditions.<br />
CAPACITY INCREASE IN<br />
TURKMENISTAN – CHINA LINE<br />
The President of Turkmenistan<br />
Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov and the<br />
accompanying delegation attended the<br />
Shanghai Cooperation Organization<br />
Council of the Heads of State in Beijing,<br />
and signed an agreement on selling<br />
Turkmen gas to China. Moreover, it was<br />
agreed upon increasing the capacity<br />
of the natural gas pipeline between<br />
Turkmenistan and China.<br />
IRAN TOOK BUSHEHR<br />
The spokesperson of Russian Atom<br />
Energy Agency Rosatam announced<br />
that the Bushehr nuclear power plant<br />
was handed over to Iran. The Head<br />
of Iran Atomic Energy Agency Ali<br />
Ekber Salehi stated that the guarantee<br />
period of nuclear power plant will be<br />
prolonged for two years and Russian<br />
experts will work in the power plant<br />
during this period. Russian and Iranian<br />
governments had made an agreement<br />
in August 1992 about Bushehr nuclear<br />
power plant, the construction of which<br />
was started by German consortium<br />
Kraftwerl Union Ag in 1974. The<br />
construction of the Bushehr power<br />
plant was completed in 2011, and it<br />
started to generate electricity in full<br />
capacity on September 24.<br />

CASPIAN FORUM GATHERED<br />
WORLD LEADERS<br />
The second “Caspian Forum”, the first of which was<br />
held in İstanbul in December last year, was organized<br />
in New York, USA September 25.<br />
The Forum was organized with the theme of “European<br />
Energy Security and the Southern Gas Corridor” at foreign<br />
ministerial level in the UN General Assembly week.<br />
The event gathered the leaders of Caspian countries from<br />
Azerbaijan to Georgia, as well as senior authorities, nearly 600<br />
energy experts, academicians, journalists and business people<br />
