CRITICAL ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE
PROTECTION CONFERENCE AT HASEN
On July 10, in Turkey and all around the world, “Critical Energy
Infrastructure Protection” issue was discussed in detail.
Center on Foreign Policy and Security Studies Expert Prof.
Dr. Mesut Hakkı Caşın made ​a comprehensive presentation.
Turkey’s largest and least known problems of critical energy
infrastructure, energy security and the strategic structure of
the new world order were the main subjects of the speech.
UNINTERRAPTED TRANSPORT IS POSSIBLE
FOR TURKIC REPUBLICS
Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States convened
in Baku between 3 to 4 July. UTIKAD also made ​important
contributions to the work at Cooperation Council of Turkic
Speaking States. The Secretary General of the Council Halil
Akıncı, Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov,
Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Askar Zhumagaliyev and
Transport, Maritime and Communication Affairs Minister attended
the Turkish Council meeting. The three countries, with
‘sister relations between Baku, Aktau and Samsun sea ports’
memorandum, signed “Protocol on Cooperation in the Field of
Transportation Development.”

HISTORICAL AGREEMENT
OF TURKMENISTAN
At the 17th meeting held in Turkmenistan’s capital
Ashgabat, an agreement was signed for the protocol
on the establishment of TAPI, Ltd consortium
and purchase and sale of natural gas between
Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
Starting in 1993, the project which will carry
Turkmen gas through Afghanistan and Pakistan to
South Asia, accelerated in the last few years and
also India involved in the project recently. For Turkmen
management which exports natural gas to Russia, China
and Iran and seeking to diversify power lines, the project
has great importance. Turkmenistan has already signed
an agreement with India and Pakistan. Recently at the
