‘HORSE DAY’ WAS CELEBRATED IN<br />

Caspian Strategy Institute (HASEN)<br />

began broadcasting Caspian Daily on<br />

April 15 in Turkish and English in the<br />

web TV platform Caspian TV. Caspian<br />

Daily presents the economic and political<br />

developments in the Caspian Region<br />

every weekday.<br />

The Horse Day was celebrated on April 26-28 for Ahal Teke horses<br />

which are a part of Turkmen culture and social life. Minister<br />

of Food and Agriculture Mehmet Mehdi Eker, TİKA President<br />

Dr. Serdar Çam, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity<br />

Exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of<br />

the Jockey Club of Turkey Serdar Adalı, high-level guests from<br />

over 50 countries, representatives of international centers, institutions<br />

and associations, horse breeders and scientists attended<br />

Turkmen Horse Day celebration. Activities continued for three<br />

days. The International Exhibition of Ahal Teke Horses, and the<br />

5th International Scientific Conference with the theme of Turkmen<br />

Horse Breeding and <strong>World</strong> Horse Breeding Art were held.<br />

The <strong>World</strong> Economic Forum in Baku was inaugurated<br />

with the panel titled “Visions on Middle East and South<br />

Caucasia”.<br />

Mr. Taner Yıldız gave information about Turkey’s energy<br />

policies and structure, and pointed out energy’s role in<br />

development. Yıldız stated that the energy policies are nationalized,<br />

and countries are able to cooperate in this field<br />

within the context of globalizing and nationalizing policies.<br />

Referring to Turkey’s energy moves, Yıldız noted that<br />

major investments have been made in this regard in the last<br />

10 years. Yıldız reminded that Turkey carries out major<br />

energy projects in the region, and stated that they have<br />

developed the South Stream project with Russia and the<br />

TANAP project with Azerbaijan. Yıldız said, “We provide<br />

electricity to the Southern Cyprus when they need. We also<br />

observe that our contribution to the region increases with<br />

political stability. Turkey will maintain its positive attitude<br />

towards developing projects by benefiting from geographical<br />

advantages. “<br />
