Nitrex Metal/SAPA Profiles. From Nitrex we recieved this press release about an<br />
order the company just received from SAPA Profiles (never heard of this company<br />
before) for a nitrocarburizing system for a location just outside of Shanghai, China.<br />

"Nitrex Metal received an order from SAPA Profiles to supply a turnkey<br />
nitrocarburizing system for its newly acquired extrusion facility in China. <strong>The</strong> plant<br />
located north-east of Shanghai comprises 16 presses with a total capacity of 95k<br />
tons. Renamed Sapa Profiles Jiangyin Co. Ltd., this acquisition represents a<br />
strategic step in establishing the group’s first aluminum extrusion plant in China.<br />
<strong>The</strong> addition of the Nitrex nitrocarburizing system is part of the group’s capital<br />
improvement plan to enhance the capabilities of the plant’s heat treat operations,<br />
raise output capacity, and bring new solutions to local customers. Nitrex Metal is<br />
supplying a complete system including furnace, racking, control system, and<br />
process technology tailored for aluminum extrusion dies. <strong>The</strong> furnace measures 39”<br />
diameter by 59” height (1000 mm x 1500 mm) and can process loads of 4400 lbs<br />
(2000 kg). Nitreg®-C nitrocarburizing technology was chosen for better case<br />
properties.<br />
