successful incumbent will have knowledge of heat treat processes which include<br />

normalizing, stress relieving, nitrite processing, carburizing, hardening, tempering, freezing<br />

and Rockwell testing. Incumbent will perform all loading and removing of baskets from<br />

furnace using forklift or manual equipment. Able to gas quench or oil quench as required per<br />

work instructions. Knowledge of AMS heat treat specifications, Boeing and NADCAP<br />

specifications, familiarity with CMR lab requirements. Minimum of 3-5 years aerospace<br />

Item # O317 Shift Superintendent Wanted. FPM <strong>Heat</strong> <strong>Treat</strong>ing is looking for a Shift<br />

Superintendent. Work Hours: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Part of Wednesdays 5:00<br />

P.M. to 5:00 A.M. Job Summary: Supervises and coordinates all plant activities and<br />

personnel during assigned periods in a customer focused and cost effective manor.<br />

Job Duties: 1) . Ensures the plant is operated and staffed productively to meet customer<br />

requirements. 2) . Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and assignments,<br />

and expedites workflow. 3) . Issues written and oral instructions, and trains assigned<br />

associates. 4) . Assigns job duties and tasks, and examines work product for uniformity,<br />

neatness and conformance to specifications, procedures and policies logging nonconformance.<br />

5) . Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiencies of<br />

departments. 6) . Ensures customer promises are scheduled and met. 7) . Maintains<br />

teamwork environment maintaining open lines of two-way communications and expedites<br />

problem solving. 8) . Assists associates in performing job duties and task as needed. 9) .<br />

Helps to maintain a safe and clean plant. 10) . Provides technical support to associates. 11)<br />

. Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.<br />

Job Requirements: 1) . High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 2) . One to three years<br />

supervisory and/or management experience preferred. 3) . One to five years heat treat or<br />

other technical work experience preferred. 4) . Must be able to communicate, read, write<br />

and speak in English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.<br />

Mathematical Skills: General math skills required for furnace set-ups. Reasoning Ability: 1) .<br />

Must use common sense and capable of making quick, informed decisions. 2) . Must have<br />

the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.<br />

Other Skills and Abilities: 1) . Must be able and willing to lead, manage and supervise<br />

associates in accomplishing the stated goals and objectives. 2) . Successful incumbent must<br />

be a self-starter who is aggressive yet personable and willingly accepts responsibility. 3) .<br />

Excellent time management skills required. 4) . Computer literacy is essential.<br />
