(1) Take two fluorescein pattern photographs <strong>of</strong> the First Definite Apical Clearance Lens<br />

on the right eye.<br />

(2) Photograph the closed eyelid.<br />

(3) Insert the lens 0.2 mm flatter than the First Definite Apical Clearance Lens on the<br />

right eye, allow it to settle on the eye, and then take two fluorescein pattern<br />

photographs. Verify that the central and peripheral relationships have been<br />

recorded on the Examination Form for the 0.2 mm flatter than FDACL lens.<br />

(4) Photograph the nose in between the fluorescein photographs <strong>of</strong> the right and left<br />

eyes.<br />

(5) Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 for the left eye.<br />

(6) Label and mail the exposed fluorescein film canister in the envelopes provided to the<br />

CLEK Photography Reading <strong>Center</strong>:<br />

After photography <strong>of</strong> the 0.2 mm flatter than FDACL lens, its central and<br />

peripheral fluorescein patterns must be evaluated and results recorded on the CLEK<br />

Examination Form.<br />

CLEK Study trial lenses must be disinfected with hydrogen peroxide following<br />

each use or cleaned with Miraflow and thoroughly rinsed with RGP conditioning<br />

solution prior to storage. Trial lenses are stored dry.
