Nghe Temple Festival<br />
Nghe Temple festival is one of the<br />
biggest festivals in the Port City of Hai<br />
Phong. The festival is to commemorate<br />
and honor the works of Lady general Le<br />
Chan, who had founded the An Bien<br />
village, the origin of Hai Phong city.<br />
The festival is held on 8 February (annual lunar calendar) at Nghe Temple,<br />
and the statue of madam Le Chan, Le Chan District, Hai Phong city.<br />
Do Son Tourism Festival<br />
Do Son tourism festival is annually<br />
held to kick-off the tourist season in<br />
the region. The festival has various<br />
activities such as Dragon boat race, arts<br />
and culture performance, bike racing,<br />
beach volleyball, golf tournament,<br />
food festival...<br />
Do Son Tourism festival takes place in late April and early May each year.<br />
From Hai Phong tourist can go to Do Son by bus or taxi (20km).<br />
Luong Xam shrine Festival<br />
Luong Xam shrine festival in Nam Hai<br />
ward, Hai An district. The festival is an<br />
opportunity for reviewing the bravery<br />
history of the nation during the period<br />
of fighting the invasion of southern<br />
Han in the merit of the national hero<br />
Ngo Vuong Quyen.<br />
The festival is held annually from 14th to 16th of lunar January. From the<br />
city center tourists can take a taxi to Nam Hai ward (8km).<br />
