Patrick Kanters is Managing Director Real Estate of ABP
Investments, the investment arm of Stichting Pensioenfonds
ABP. Based in the Amsterdam office he is responsible for all
real estate activities in Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining
ABP, Mr. Kanters worked for ING Real Estate for 11 years.
Most formerly he was Managing Director of the Investment
Management department covering the European markets.
Mr. Kanters holds a MSc in Real Estate, Project Management
& Housing from the Delft University of Technology in The
Netherlands and received a post doctorate degree in Real
Estate from the University of Amsterdam.
Peter Kasch transferred to the London office of Kennedy-
Wilson International from Boston in 1993 to oversee the
investment of American funds into real estate in Europe. He
was subsequently a partner in Greenwich Group International
before co-founding Catalyst Capital. Prior to 1993 Mr Kasch
was a Principal of a property advisory company in the US.
He began his career as a Construction Manager for a Boston
general contractor and a Project Manager for real estate
development.

Jason Katz is a Managing Director at UBS where he heads
up the Investment Bank’s hotel, travel and leisure sector.
In 2006, Jason has already executed several transactions,
including the sales of Hilton Group to Hilton International,
Travelsphere to Electra Partners, Next Generation Clubs to
London & Regional, Center Parcs UK to Blackstone and the
acquisition of Parkdean by Alchemy Partners. He is currently
working on the sales of Travelodge and De Vere. Other recent
experiences includes the sale of lastminute.com to Sabre,
Legoland to Blackstone, Fitness First to BC Partners and the
sale by SAS of a 25% stake in Rezidor SAS to Carlson.
Robert is head of the international real estate practice and
the client partner for a number of the firm’s major real estate
clients. He lectures on real estate finance and corporate
outsourcing in the UK, Europe and Asia. Robert is a “Leading
Individual” practitioner in Chambers Directory 2005/6
and in the Legal 500, 2005.

Since joining Blackstone in 2006, Mr. Kirkman has been
involved in sourcing and analyzing Blackstone’s real estate
investments in several types of property. Prior to Blackstone,
Doug worked at Harbert Management Corporation where he set
up their London office and European Real Estate Group. He
created Harbert’s first European Real Estate Opportunity Fund
and led the acquisition, management and disposition of many
of the investments made by the Fund. Mr. Kirkman received
a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and an MBA from
the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of
Virginia.
Walter Klug is Geschäftsführer at the newly founded Morgan
Stanley KAG. Within the KAG he is responsible for Company
Strategy, Client Services, Sales/Marketing as well as PR.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Walter has worked for the
Deutsche Bank Group for over 30 years within the real estate
finance and Investment business, 5 years as Managing
Director of DB Real Estate. He recently published his book
“Offene Immobilienfonds”. Mr Klug has lectured on real estate
finance at Ulm University and graduated from the Advanced
Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Bernd Knobloch was born in 1951 in Muenchen, Germany.
Since January 2004 Bernd Knobloch is Eurohypo’s CEO. He
served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors
of Eurohypo AG (merger of Deutsche Hyp AG, Eurohypo AG and
Rheinhyp AG), Eschborn, Germany, since August 2002 and
as Member of the Board of Managing Directors of Eurohypo
Aktiengesellschaft der Deutschen Bank since 1992. Bernd
Knobloch serves on the boards of VINCI Deutschland GmbH,
Ludwigshafen, Germany, DB Real Estate Investment GmbH,
Eschborn, Germany, and Europäische Hypothekenbank S.A.,
Luxembourg. He received a degree in business administration
as well as a law degree. He is admitted to the German Bar
since 1979.
Barbara A. Knoflach has been Managing Director of SEB
Immobilien-Investment GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of SEB AG (formerly BfG Bank AG), since June 1999. After
studying business administration, Barbara A. Knoflach started
her career in 1986 in international project financing at
Deutsche Bank AG. In 1991, she moved within the Deutsche
Bank Group to Deutsche Immobilien Anlagegesellschaft mbH,
where she worked in the area of consulting and research. After
joining SEB AG in 1994, Barbara A. Knoflach initially played a
key role in helping to expand the bank’s closed-end property
funds and property leasing activities. In 1997, she took over
as head of the fund management companies.
