Patrick Kanters is Managing Director <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> <strong>of</strong> ABP<br />
Investments, <strong>the</strong> investment arm <strong>of</strong> Stichting Pensioenfonds<br />
ABP. Based in <strong>the</strong> Amsterdam <strong>of</strong>fice he is responsible for all<br />
real estate activities in Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining<br />
ABP, Mr. Kanters worked for ING <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> for 11 years.<br />
Most formerly he was Managing Director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Investment<br />
Management department covering <strong>the</strong> European markets.<br />
Mr. Kanters holds a MSc in <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>, Project Management<br />
& Housing from <strong>the</strong> Delft University <strong>of</strong> Technology in The<br />
Ne<strong>the</strong>rlands and received a post doctorate degree in <strong>Real</strong><br />
<strong>Estate</strong> from <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Amsterdam.<br />
Peter Kasch transferred to <strong>the</strong> London <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Kennedy-<br />
Wilson International from Boston in 1993 to oversee <strong>the</strong><br />
investment <strong>of</strong> American funds into real estate in Europe. He<br />
was subsequently a partner in Greenwich Group International<br />
before co-founding Catalyst Capital. Prior to 1993 Mr Kasch<br />
was a Principal <strong>of</strong> a property advisory company in <strong>the</strong> US.<br />
He began his career as a Construction Manager for a Boston<br />
general contractor and a Project Manager for real estate<br />
development.<br />

Jason Katz is a Managing Director at UBS where he heads<br />
up <strong>the</strong> Investment Bank’s hotel, travel and leisure sector.<br />
In 2006, Jason has already executed several transactions,<br />
including <strong>the</strong> sales <strong>of</strong> Hilton Group to Hilton International,<br />
Travelsphere to Electra Partners, Next Generation Clubs to<br />
London & Regional, Center Parcs UK to Blackstone and <strong>the</strong><br />
acquisition <strong>of</strong> Parkdean by Alchemy Partners. He is currently<br />
working on <strong>the</strong> sales <strong>of</strong> Travelodge and De Vere. O<strong>the</strong>r recent<br />
experiences includes <strong>the</strong> sale <strong>of</strong> lastminute.com to Sabre,<br />
Legoland to Blackstone, Fitness First to BC Partners and <strong>the</strong><br />
sale by SAS <strong>of</strong> a 25% stake in Rezidor SAS to Carlson.<br />
Robert is head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> international real estate practice and<br />
<strong>the</strong> client partner for a number <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> firm’s major real estate<br />
clients. He lectures on real estate finance and corporate<br />
outsourcing in <strong>the</strong> UK, Europe and Asia. Robert is a “Leading<br />
Individual” practitioner in Chambers Directory 2005/6<br />
and in <strong>the</strong> Legal 500, 2005.<br />

Since joining Blackstone in 2006, Mr. Kirkman has been<br />
involved in sourcing and analyzing Blackstone’s real estate<br />
investments in several types <strong>of</strong> property. Prior to Blackstone,<br />
Doug worked at Harbert Management Corporation where he set<br />
up <strong>the</strong>ir London <strong>of</strong>fice and European <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Group. He<br />
created Harbert’s first European <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Opportunity Fund<br />
and led <strong>the</strong> acquisition, management and disposition <strong>of</strong> many<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> investments made by <strong>the</strong> Fund. Mr. Kirkman received<br />
a Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Arts from Princeton University and an MBA from<br />
<strong>the</strong> Darden Graduate School <strong>of</strong> Business at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong><br />
Virginia.<br />
Walter Klug is Geschäftsführer at <strong>the</strong> newly founded Morgan<br />
Stanley KAG. Within <strong>the</strong> KAG he is responsible for Company<br />
Strategy, Client Services, Sales/Marketing as well as PR.<br />
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Walter has worked for <strong>the</strong><br />
Deutsche Bank Group for over 30 years within <strong>the</strong> real estate<br />
finance and Investment business, 5 years as Managing<br />
Director <strong>of</strong> DB <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong>. He recently published his book<br />
“Offene Immobilienfonds”. Mr Klug has lectured on real estate<br />
finance at Ulm University and graduated from <strong>the</strong> Advanced<br />
Management Program at Harvard Business School.<br />

Bernd Knobloch was born in 1951 in Muenchen, Germany.<br />
Since January 2004 Bernd Knobloch is Eurohypo’s CEO. He<br />
served as Deputy Chairman <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Managing Directors<br />
<strong>of</strong> Eurohypo AG (merger <strong>of</strong> Deutsche Hyp AG, Eurohypo AG and<br />
Rheinhyp AG), Eschborn, Germany, since August 2002 and<br />
as Member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Managing Directors <strong>of</strong> Eurohypo<br />
Aktiengesellschaft der Deutschen Bank since 1992. Bernd<br />
Knobloch serves on <strong>the</strong> boards <strong>of</strong> VINCI Deutschland GmbH,<br />
Ludwigshafen, Germany, DB <strong>Real</strong> <strong>Estate</strong> Investment GmbH,<br />
Eschborn, Germany, and Europäische Hypo<strong>the</strong>kenbank S.A.,<br />
Luxembourg. He received a degree in business administration<br />
as well as a law degree. He is admitted to <strong>the</strong> German Bar<br />
since 1979.<br />
Barbara A. Kn<strong>of</strong>lach has been Managing Director <strong>of</strong> SEB<br />
Immobilien-Investment GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary<br />
<strong>of</strong> SEB AG (formerly BfG Bank AG), since June 1999. After<br />
studying business administration, Barbara A. Kn<strong>of</strong>lach started<br />
her career in 1986 in international project financing at<br />
Deutsche Bank AG. In 1991, she moved within <strong>the</strong> Deutsche<br />
Bank Group to Deutsche Immobilien Anlagegesellschaft mbH,<br />
where she worked in <strong>the</strong> area <strong>of</strong> consulting and research. After<br />
joining SEB AG in 1994, Barbara A. Kn<strong>of</strong>lach initially played a<br />
key role in helping to expand <strong>the</strong> bank’s closed-end property<br />
funds and property leasing activities. In 1997, she took over<br />
as head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> fund management companies.
