7: Adding rule-based content
One of the most powerful features of WebSphere Portal and IBM Web Content Manager is the ability to
dynamically deliver personalized content for a specific user, or to display content based on a predefined
rule. In this part of the course, you will learn about different methods of delivering rule-based content.

Lab 7.1: Creating a user name component
In this lab you will create a user name component. This will be used to display different information to
anonymous users and authenticated users.

Lesson 7.1.1: User name components
Your website can be configured to be viewed by both anonymous and authenticated users. You might not
want to expose all your content to anonymous users. The user name component allows you to store
different markup for anonymous and authenticated users. When referenced on a page, the markup that is
displayed will depend on whether the user is authenticated.
