You use categories to profile certain item types, such as content<br />

items. A category refers to the subject matter of your content. You<br />

group categories within taxonomies.<br />

You use workflows to control the access to, verification, and<br />

eventual approval of <strong>IBM</strong> <strong>Web</strong> <strong>Content</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> items. When<br />

creating a workflow, you select a set of workflow stages. Workflow<br />

actions are executed upon entering or exiting a workflow stage.<br />

Projects are used to manage changes to a set of items. Only after all<br />

items in a project are approved and made ready to publ<strong>is</strong>h are all<br />

the items in a project publ<strong>is</strong>hed to the live site.<br />
