v Which fields and elements will be visible on the content form v What default values will be used by each field and element The goal of good authoring template design is to present content authors with only the minimum number of fields and elements required to create new content. Where possible, you should try to supply as many default values as possible, and hide as many fields and elements as possible. For example, a good authoring template design may present a content creator with a content form comprising only: v A name field v A rich text field to store the text of the content item v A save and close button Task 3.2.2: Create authoring templates Based on the procedures you learned in task 2.2.1, you will create the authoring templates used by your website based on the information provided in the design document.
