Task 3.1.2: Create a site framework<br />
Following the procedures you learned in task 2.1.1, you will build a site framework in the Training<br />
library based on the site structure outlined in the website design document (Section 3.1 - Site Structure).<br />
About th<strong>is</strong> task<br />
You might not be able to build the entire site framework in the time you have to complete th<strong>is</strong> task. As a<br />
minimum, you must create the following site areas:<br />
v Intranet<br />
– Search<br />
– Sitemap<br />
– Home<br />
- Our Company<br />
- News & Community<br />
v News<br />
– <strong>Content</strong><br />
v Events<br />
– EventItems<br />
- Business Support<br />
v HR Policies<br />
- Employee Services<br />
Note: <strong>The</strong> Intranet site area <strong>is</strong> a new top-level site area that should be created at the same level as the<br />
ex<strong>is</strong>ting Internet site area, not below it:<br />

Tip: When creating a child site area, navigate to the parent site area first, and then create the child site<br />
area. When you do th<strong>is</strong>, the parent site area will automatically be selected as the default location.<br />
Note: If you create a site area in the wrong location, you can select the site area and then click More<br />
Actions > Move.<br />
