<strong>The</strong> exam competencies are just one tool for preparing for <strong>IBM</strong> Certified for Lotus Software exams.<br />

<strong>The</strong> exam competencies to become an <strong>IBM</strong> Certified Application Developer for Lotus <strong>Web</strong> <strong>Content</strong><br />

Management 7.0, along with a complete l<strong>is</strong>ting of learning resources, will be available in early 2011 on<br />

the Lotus Certification website at the following address: http://www.ibm.com/lotus/certification<br />

Preparing for a Lotus Certification exam<br />

Attending th<strong>is</strong> course and using th<strong>is</strong> Student Guide will help you prepare for certification. Some topics<br />

covered on the exam are not covered in th<strong>is</strong> course, and some of the objectives covered in th<strong>is</strong> course are<br />

not tested on the exam. Be sure to follow all the steps l<strong>is</strong>ted in the following table to prepare fully for the<br />

exam.<br />

Step 1: Reviewing the exam objectives<br />

Review the exam objectives to see the complete l<strong>is</strong>ting of possible topics for the exam. Use the<br />

competency l<strong>is</strong>ting as your checkl<strong>is</strong>t to determine your weaknesses and the areas on which you want to<br />

focus more attention on in your studies and preparation.<br />

Review the competency areas l<strong>is</strong>ted on the <strong>The</strong> Exam Objectives tab of the Exam Overview page located<br />

at the <strong>IBM</strong> Software Services for Lotus Certification website at the following address:<br />

Step 2: Getting hands-on experience<br />

Actual hands-on experience <strong>is</strong> a critical component in preparing for the exam. <strong>The</strong> exam measures how<br />

well you perform tasks, not how well you memorize features and functions.<br />

Be sure to spend time using the product and applying the skills learned in class. Direct application of the<br />

skills learned in th<strong>is</strong> class cannot be replaced by any other single resource l<strong>is</strong>ted here.<br />

Step 3: Using the exam test information page<br />

<strong>The</strong> test information page l<strong>is</strong>ts resources available for each individual exam, and it can be found at the<br />

Select the appropriate certification link and choose the applicable exam page, which has the test<br />

information lab.<br />

Lotus Certification will publ<strong>is</strong>h an assessment test to help you prepare to take Exam 915: LOT-915<br />
