Task 3.5.3: Update the Home site area<br />

During th<strong>is</strong> task you will select a default content item for the Home site area<br />

Procedure<br />

1. Open the Home site area in edit mode.<br />

2. Click Select Default <strong>Content</strong>.<br />

3. Navigate to and select the content item named Home.<br />

4. Click OK.<br />

5. Click Save > Save and close.<br />

Expected result<br />

Preview the Home content item and confirm that it can be rendered.<br />

Although the content item can be rendered, styles are not yet enabled. Unlike lab 2, where the style<br />

sheets were referenced directly in the presentation template, in th<strong>is</strong> portlet-based site the styles will be<br />

referenced from within a theme. <strong>The</strong> theme will be selected when you create a portal page in the next<br />

lab.<br />

Now that you have created your core items, you need to create a set of pages to d<strong>is</strong>play your content.<br />
