Mary lived at Broken Dam (near Ariah Park) with her family when her father was publican at the “Beehive Hotel” from 1879-1883 and taught at Beaconsfield School (now Quandary). Sun 15 April 10am Free Enquiries: 02 6973 1221 COOLAMON Coolamon Up-to-Date Store Committee Cultural Precinct (Coolamon Shire Council) Coolamon’s Heritage on Display Up-to-Date Store Heritage Precinct, Cowabbie Street The newly refurbished Up-to-Date Precinct will be open as part of Coolamon’s Heritage Week activities. Visitors are invited to view the extensive displays including the only working Lampson Cash Machine in NSW, the Garth Jones Collection of agricultural items, the award winning RSL Memorial Museum which displays an extensive array of military items. The lastest display to be added to the precinct, the Reg Godde Collection of working hand built agricultural machinery will be open to view. The precinct will be open on the weekend of 28-29 April 2012 from 10am to 4pm each day. Bookings are not essential but are prefered. The official opening of the precinct will take place on 28th April with a day of community celebrations being planned. 28 & 29 April 10am - 4pm Entry to the Precinct is free, however gold coin donations are accepted.
