farming and viticulture by Singleton’s first mayor, Alexander
Munro & he was also a storekeeper, teamster, butcher, shearer
& hotel owner. His resourcefulness & innovative practices
earned him gold medals at international wine shows & his
varied commercial undertakings provided the funding for his
many benevolent & philanthropic activities. The museum has
an additional exhibit facility at the Singleton NAA Showground
where the very large pieces of our collection of vintage farm
machinery are stored.
