Mary MacKillop Hall Management Committee
Museum Exhibition
Mary MacKillop Hall, cnr. Calle Calle & Chandos Sts.
Museum depicts the history of Eden’s old Catholic Church
circa 1860’s and the involvement of Saint Mary MacKillop
and the use of the building as a school. It also details the
wreck of the Ly - ee - Moon in 1886 and the drowning of
Mary’s mother, Flora, in the disaster. Open daily - seven days
per week.

Mr Hume conducts tours of his family home built in 1857.
The home is set in six acres of gardens/lawns and visitors
experience living history amidst unique collections of victorian
and colonial furnishings and family memorabilia in original
settings. Stately rooms where little has changed in 140 years
- still in use today. Off street parking in grounds available for
cars and coahces.

3rd Sunday of every month. Tour the historic 1840’s Georgian
house and then come and sit in the beautiful gardens of
Riversdale and enjoy a Devonshire morning or afternoon
tea of homemade scones, jam and cream for the low cost
of $5.50 for tea and coffee and 1 scone or $7.50 for tea and
coffee and two scones.

“Artware to Utility”
National Museum of Australian Pottery, 76 Albury Street
For Heritage week the National Museum of Australian Pottery
is hosting a short term exhibition titled “Artware to Utility”
and launching a book of the same title, which is the story
of Modern Ceramic Products. The exhibition will contain 50
pieces of pottery produced by the Sydney company between
1945 and 1965. The book is available at the museum for
$75, discounted during Heritage week (14 – 29 April)
to $70 plus postage. Further details can be obtained at
