7.5 Structural, Thermal, and Spacecraft Testbeds<br />

7.5.1 Metrology Components<br />

Scope<br />

The baseline approach is to follow SIM progress on the external metrology truss development<br />

while periodically revisiting the project requirements. If for any reason SIM technology is<br />

deemed insufficient for <strong>TPF</strong>-C needs, this task will be expanded to address <strong>TPF</strong>-C requirements.<br />

In addition, as the verification plan matures, metrology requirements will emerge. Any<br />

necessary technology development activities will be captured in the next update to this plan. The<br />

schedule for metrology components is given in Table 7-11. The metrology components have<br />

achieved TRL 3.<br />
