hand, CVC students are all settled in the healthy average range according to the Beck<br />

levels. Therefore, whilst anxiety is reported to be decreasing which is very positive,<br />

some students, particularly those at The Centre School, are still functioning with<br />

elevated anxiety levels.<br />

6.4.3 The Beck Disruptive Behaviour Inventory for Youth: descriptive statistics<br />

The results from the short-term follow-up data for the BDBI are similar to the BAI<br />

and show 100% improvement.<br />

The scores between the groups are comparable, as shown in table 6.4a.III (in<br />

appendix 6.4a), because the groups share a similar standard deviation (group A =<br />

6.29; group B = 5.12) and all students perceive an improvement. Figure 6.4b.vii in<br />

appendix 6.4b shows that scores are also comparable between schools: all students<br />

recorded improvement in their behaviour.<br />

6.4.4 Long-term follow-up data<br />

The fourth wave of data collection created a long-term follow-up data set for group A<br />

as it was a year after those students had finished music therapy. The data were<br />
