example, the adult should listen to the student (Harry, appendix 7.1.11, p.276).<br />

After music therapy, students were asked if they had enjoyed school since the<br />

previous interview and whether anything had got better or worse (figure 7.4.3).<br />

Although none of the students cited music therapy at this point, it is interesting that<br />

43% had enjoyed school since the previous interview and 25% felt that school had<br />

improved.<br />

None of the CVC students felt school had got worse whereas one Centre School<br />

student did. Overall, however, the students had enjoyed school and more than 58%<br />

felt that school was better. Several students were open to discussing their feelings<br />

about school. Five from The Centre School drew comparisons between their current<br />

school and previous ones they had attended and they all preferred the smaller class<br />

sizes, unlike at mainstream schools.<br />
