Power Supply Information<br />
The apc/<strong>8X</strong> controller is provided without an uninterruptible power supply<br />
(UPS). The Advanced Power Supply (apS) is a UL603-Listed Burglar Alarm<br />
Power Supply. This unit will provide nominal 12 VDC output at 3.5 Amps in<br />
excess of four hours when using the supplied, single 17 AH battery. An<br />
additional 17 AH battery can be installed to provide 8 hours of battery-backed<br />
power.<br />
In order to maintain UL regulatory approval for this product, either the apS<br />
or another Class-2 (Power Limited) UL 603 or UL 294 Listed Power Supply<br />
must be used with a battery appropriate for the required standby time.<br />
