Connecting the Advanced Power System (apS)<br />
Caution: If the <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong> has a built in power supply it must be<br />
disconnected before attaching the apS.<br />
The apS comes with 17 Amp hours of backup capacity. You can order an<br />
additional battery to increase this capacity to 34 Amp hours. The length of<br />
time that an apS can power an <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong> and readers depends on several factors:<br />
• configuration you are using<br />
• number of card readers connected to the <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong> panels<br />
• number of batteries in the apS<br />
