The host port P32 connects the <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong> to a host computer (see Figure 4.1).<br />
• A single <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong> can connect to the host via an RS-232 serial<br />
connection.<br />
• Multiple <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong>s communicate via an RS-485 chain, but the <strong>apC</strong>/<strong>8X</strong><br />
chain must communicate with the host through an RS-232 to RS-485<br />
converter.<br />
