Adjustments<br />

Yanmar recommends that only idle speed adjustment<br />

should be performed by non-authorized service technicians.<br />

Refer to Chapter Three for the idle speed procedure.<br />

Other adjustments, such as no-load maximum governed<br />

speed and fuel limiter screw setting, are set by the<br />

manufacturer. Incorrect adjustment can damage the engine.<br />

To prevent tampering, a safety wire is attached to<br />

each screw and a lead seal is affixed to the wire or the<br />

screw assembly is marked (Figure 46). Removing or cutting<br />

the wire or seal or altering the marked screw position<br />

will void the engine warranty.
