<strong>Department</strong> or his/her designee.<br />

o Execute contract with supplemental medical personnel to include medical as well<br />

as psychiatric.<br />

o Initiate established Contingency <strong>Plan</strong> including on call and call-back procedures<br />

as needed.<br />

o Implement in-house alternate care site plan with supplemental staff and requisite<br />

medical supplies<br />

o Utilize (as needed) stored inventories to include:<br />

o Three week supply <strong>of</strong> potable water.<br />

o Three week inventory <strong>of</strong> food (3 daily meals)<br />

o Three week inventory <strong>of</strong> non-perishable food.<br />

o Four week supply <strong>of</strong> medical and pharmaceutical supplies. o Three week<br />

supply <strong>of</strong> control substance<br />

o Extra bedding (mattress, sheets, blankets, pillows)<br />

o Clean laundry (four weeks)<br />

o Hygiene products (four weeks)<br />

o Stored diesel fuel<br />

o Confer with <strong>RI</strong> EMA regarding initiation <strong>of</strong> MOU for the National Guard to<br />

provide additional potable water for drinking and a portable water trailer for<br />

hygiene if necessary as well as portable toilets<br />

o Initiate special watching and counseling protocols.<br />

JUVENILE PROBATION:<br />

o Identify, arrange, or in the event <strong>of</strong> an extensive disruption in statewide social<br />

services, provide for ongoing Supervision and case management for Probation<br />

youth in out <strong>of</strong> home placements.<br />

o Probation Administrator will delegate the most senior Probation Officer in that<br />

unit to replace their supervisor in the event <strong>of</strong> absence.<br />

o Routine, crisis, and priority issues will be identified by the Probation<br />

Administrator in concert with supervisory personnel.<br />

o Support staff will engage in redeployment <strong>of</strong> their job functions throughout the<br />

course <strong>of</strong> the pandemic or other emergency.<br />

o Of necessity, whenever possible personnel are to limit personal contact and to<br />

communicate by telephone, VPN, or fax if dictated by the type <strong>of</strong> emergency.<br />

o For each <strong>of</strong>fice all individual phone lines will need to leave phone messages<br />

indicating that urgent calls be directed to the main phone listed in the <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

directory.<br />

o During regular business hours, Probation staff/administrators will obtain from and<br />

provide to, those on their caseloads, relevant information regarding health and<br />

welfare concerns for the children in their care. In the event that children need to<br />

be relocated due to medical issues affecting the caretakers, workers will contact<br />

the Child Placement Unit, which will maintain a list <strong>of</strong> emergency placements in<br />

the event that children need to be relocated.<br />
