Chapter 5: Changing the Monitor’s Settings<br />
This chapter will guide the user in adjustments available from the monitor front panel. For<br />
information on setting alarms see Chapter 6: Alarms.<br />
NOTE: To save any changes to menu items, press the menu key ( ) or press the exit<br />
key ( ). Allowing the menu to time out will not save any changes to the<br />
currently displayed menu item.<br />
Changing the <strong>Pulse</strong> Beep Volume<br />
A “beep” tone sounds with each pulse beat. The volume of the “beep” can be adjusted to fifteen<br />
(15) settings and off. This setting is retained at power down/power up.<br />
To adjust the volume to the “off” setting, press and hold the down arrow (o). From the “off”<br />
setting, set the volume by pressing the up arrow (n). The volume is changed with each key press.<br />
Setup Menu<br />
Enter the Setup Menu by pressing and holding the Exit key ( ) and then pressing the Menu key<br />
( ). Each subsequent press of the Menu key allows a different setting to be changed using the<br />
up and down arrow keys (no). The items to be changed appear in the order of the list below.<br />
Each parameter will have a label shown on the display. See the sections that follow for details. All<br />
of the settings in the Setup Menu are retained at power down/power up.<br />
The setup menu allows adjustment of the following options:<br />
• SpO 2 and <strong>Pulse</strong> Rate Averaging<br />
• High Sensitivity Mode<br />
• Display Brightness<br />
• Year<br />
• Month<br />
• Day<br />
• Hours<br />
• Minutes<br />
• Restore Defaults<br />
To exit any menu, press the Exit key (<br />
) or wait 20 seconds.<br />
