SpO 2
SpO 2 Range: 0 - 100% Functional Saturation (Display Maximum: 99%)
SpO 2 Resolution: 1 count (%SpO 2 )
SpO 2 Averaging: 4, 8, or 16 pulses (default = 8)
SpO 2 Alarm limits:
Calibration:
Sensors:
SpO 2 Accuracy:
High: off and 99-51, 1 step (%SpO 2 ) increments.
Low: 50-99, 1 step (%SpO 2 ) increments.
Factory calibrated over range 70% to 100% SpO 2
using human blood
samples to functional saturation. Test methods are available upon request.
No in-service calibration is required.
Red: 660 nm, 2 mW (typical)
Infrared: 905 nm, 2-2.4 mW (typical)
70 to 100% SpO 2 , less than 70% SpO 2 is undefined.
Because pulse oximeter measurements are statistically distributed, only about two-thirds of pulse oximeter equipment
measurements can be expected to fall within the ± A RMS of the value measured by the CO-oximeter.
2
The oximeter has been validated on 10 human adult volunteers that did not have health problems and were nonsmokers.
The study was conducted at oxygen concentrations evenly distributed over an SpO 2 range of 70-100%.
