The programme contributes to sustain able<strong>de</strong>velopm<strong>en</strong>t and focuses on improving the managem<strong>en</strong>t of healthservices for disadvantaged populations with a focus on low and middleincome societies.The tropEd NetworkThe programme is organised within the tropEd Network for Educationin International Health, a registered association of 20 Europeanand sev<strong>en</strong> overseas institutions of higher education (Bolivia, China,Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Tanzania and Mexico). The programmeis characterised by a unique synergy of experi<strong>en</strong>ce and expertise ofleading higher education institutions. Its innovative approach is basedon the mobility of people, the exchange of experi<strong>en</strong>ces in differ<strong>en</strong>t disciplinesand the establishm<strong>en</strong>t of a common international standard ineducation and training. The programme prepares people to work moreeffectively in a multicultural <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t by exposing them to variousperspectives.
