Have students gather around the keyboard andmoni<strong>to</strong>r. Describe the parts of the keyboard and demonstrate logging-inand selecting an activity. You may wish <strong>to</strong> give each studenta copy of Blackline Master 1 (The Keyboard) before youbegin your demonstration. Have volunteers take turns enteringkeys on the computer keyboard. Other students can follow alongby locating and “pressing” keys on their paper keyboards.Small GroupsSmall groups or partners can work <strong>to</strong>gether at one computer bytaking turns selecting activities and using the keyboard.Encourage students <strong>to</strong> talk about the activities as they work<strong>to</strong>gether.
